Good Morning David,

I am currently watching your show 21st Centuary Child and have watched it since it was first aired. I love it as my son is the same age as the children on your programme.
We are having awful problems with my son who is turning 4 on the 26th February 2012. He is very clingy to myself and my husband, more me than my husband. I found out that we are expecting our 2nd child in May. I had a very bad start to the pregnancy with alot of worries and feel this may be our problem with Cathal. I work part-time in the University of Limerick. My hours are worked around Cathal so that I am able to collect him each day from pre-school. We have a minder in the mornings for him for 45 minutes and she drops him off to school. His 2 year old cousin is also with this minder. We were having no problems with dropping him to the minder only that you had to give him about 100 kisses and hugs before he left the house in the mornings.
The problem arises when his minder drops him to school. This has esculated since his return to school after Christmas. She has tried walking away quickly but she finds this very difficult. In the last 2 weeks he has cried after my husband leaving him in the minders. This morning he tried to make himself sick.
When I speak to him about this, he just says he was tired, or he felt sick, or he misses me.
This isn't just with school, cathal won't go anywhere without me. Can you advise us what we need to do. We are finding it very difficult.
I'd really appreciate your help.

Kind regard's

A 9 year old girl excluded by her class since starting school exclusion bullying started by the 3 other girls in her class but now the whole class are at it. I've been to school on numerous occasions but they say they can do nothing. I am now in the process of changing schools. A major upheavel in our lives.

Hi Amy, Hopefully the article that I wrote here in the Independent will give you some ideas. You will also find loads of information online by googling the subject. Spunout, which is an Irish site always has great advice. http://www.spunout.ie/health/Education/Exams/Exams is the link to their info on exams with more links (including stuff on exam stress) to the right of the page. Good luck with your assignment.

Hello my name is Amy Horan and I am 22 years of age. I am in the process of gathering information on Dealing with the effects of exam stress,, for a college assignment. I am a first year student and I was just wondering if you could give me some ideas facts or history on this subject? The irony of it all I am stressed over putting this assignment together as I have never completed one before and I would really like to do well.
I would be grateful of some advice tips or help.
Thanks very much :)
